What airlines do you like to take for business travel?
I don’t have any particular favorite airline—I usually take the
most direct route to my destination, and preferably non-stop
flights. I like reading during the flight, so newspapers and
magazines and a comfortable chair are a must.
Which hotels do you prefer to stay in?
I like boutique hotels for their personalized service, and
occasionally, five-star hotels. Though often when I travel it’s
usually in hotels booked for me by foreign embassies.
Any tips when it comes to packing for a business trip?
As much as possible, travel light and bring only the essentials.
My travel must-haves include the itinerary, my briefer and travel
documents, and directory.
Where do you like to relax and unwind after a full day’s work?
I like to go to bookstores like Barnes & Noble, Borders, and
Kinokuniya to buy books for my library. I also like DIY stores to
get outdoor gear.
Any other advice for business travelers?
Check your frequent-flier miles before they expire. Keep a
directory of contacts and emergency numbers handy. To be safer,
always fly aboard double-engine planes.
